Colorado School of Mines is fortunate to have three distinct A Cappella groups, each focusing on a different vocal style and with different voice parts. While Mines has had an A Cappella group for around a century (Harmonic Miners), Miner Dissonance was formed in 2012. We have been active ever since, and are currently Mines' largest A Cappella group! We are entirely student led and directed. Our directors have no formal training, just a lot of passion for the singing and our community! All members of our group are full time undergraduate or graduate students, who have chosen to spend their extra time making music together. We are grateful to be able to continue doing something we love even at a challenging engineering school, and hope you can hear our passion in our songs!
