She holds an M.F.A. in Vocal Pedagogy, is a member of the Sweet Adelines International Society, where she serves on the Regional Faculty, and was awarded the title of "Master Director" in 2009. She also was awarded Regional Director of the Year in 2011, 2014 and 2016.
In addition to directing The Santa Monica Sweet Adelines Chorus, Laura also coaches quartets and choruses around the country and the world. She has sung in championship quartets and was a featured soloist in numerous church and temple services.
