Fermata Town: Hold That ThoughtBoston's Fermata Town, founded in 2009 and inspired by the wealth of new talent in the a cappella world, became the newest member of the Contemporary A Cappella League; and promptly won the very competitive Boston Harmony Sweeps Regional. At the crazy-good National Finals in San Rafael, CA, the group tied for third place and their rendition of "Starting Line" won the award for Best Original Song. "Hold That Thought" features 9 cuts, all with stellar arrangements, primarily by group members Katya Dreyer-Oren and Philipp Walzer. Some favorites are The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army," Gym Class Heroes' "Stereo Hearts," a sweet original by group member John Mayer, "Dreaming With A Broken Heart," Ceo Lo Green's sassy "Forget You," Curtis Mayfield's anthem "People Get Ready," Jason Mraz' "Geek In The Pink," Kimbra's "Settle Down" and Britney Spears' "Circus." A solid debut album from fast-rising Fermata Town, whose secret to success is simple: "We love a cappella and we love each other!"
