Continued playing violin in a youth orchestra in Connecticut. Played Violin at weddings, funerals, and graduations.
In college (Northeastern University) joined the Madrigals and the college choir and singing harmony and retired from playing the violin.
After college graduation, Anna moved from Boston to California and performed in various community musicals. A friend recommended Santa Monica Sweet Adelines and she auditioned and began singing baritone for 15 years. She competed in novice quartet competition a few times and then sang in an official quartet, Invitation, where they placed 5th place and she won the most promising baritone award. When that quartet retired, she longed to be in another quartet.
When Gotta Sing! was forming, there was an opening for Tenor. Reluctantly, she thought she would try it, only to find out, tenor was her sweet spot and she fell in love with singing tenor!
She is also the Visual/showmanship Chair for the Santa Monica Chorus. Outside of singing, she does accounting and is a hypnotherapist, helping people shift behaviors that aren’t really supporting people in realizing their potential.
