Michael Barrientos began his musician life as a pianist, but converted to singing in pursuit of his high school crush. Since that life changing experience, he sung in college a cappella groups in UC Berkeley’s Men’s Chorale, DeCadence and Noteworthy, and post-collegiately in Spot the Octopus, Googapella and Redshift, before happily joining Halfway to Midnight. He has also been heard in various local opera, university, and Catholic church choruses around the SF Bay Area. Outside of rehearsals, he’s often also heard singing while swing dancing on the lindy hop dance floor.
