Yes we are. Formed in 2012, we have been performing original covers of everything from classic rock hits to contemporary pop tunes. As a 13 person a cappella group, we achieve a unique sound by fusing new and old music in sophisticated arrangements. Halfway to Midnight is a co-ed band of musical misfits who, having missed the thrill of the a cappella world and desiring an outlet to strengthen our individual instruments, serendipitously found each other in the midst of the great big beautiful Bay Area and begun gathering weekly to share in the blend of our voices together. Voena (Voices of Eve 'N Angels), founded in 1994, has performed for Presidents Clinton and Bush in Washington D.C. and Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome. As goodwill ambassadors, they have toured with their message of celebrating global diversity to China, Mexico, Italy, Greece, and Japan - from the White House, Mondavi Music Festival, Davies Hall to Carnegie Hall. With 100 + voices ranging in age from 6 to 18, VOENA achieves rich and inventive a cappella vocal arrangements by using multiple percussion instruments, dance, and theatrical elements, performing in a splash of color, and embracing our many cultural differences. We are a group of vocal singers, music lovers, and young professionals based in the Bay Area. We held our first concert on Oct 15, 2022, a few days past our first anniversary. We hosted 200 people and sang 14 songs throughout the concert. We found in music not only friendship, excitement, emotional support, but also most importantly, each other. We work on pop songs and musicals, and we also love jazz, folk, and church songs. We hope to deliver our good vibes to our audience and the community. We are 'Find A Cappella'. SF Coda Conduct is one of the Bay Area s newest a cappella groups. Founded in early 2024, the group brings together a diverse blend of voices with backgrounds spanning a cappella, musical theater, Indian classical, and Western classical choral music. After a year of jam sessions in living rooms across San Francisco, the group has grown into a close-knit, dynamic ensemble that puts a fun and heartfelt twist on your favorite contemporary and nostalgic pop hits. We re a lower-voices a cappella group known for our fun performances and fresh takes on popular songs! It always feels sunny when we perform, and not just because of our golden vests! Since our founding in 2000, we ve gone million-view-viral on YouTube multiple times, released an album entirely composed of original songs, and performed at UC Berkeley's commencement in 2022 and 2024. The UC Men's Octet is an eight member a cappella singing group comprised of the finest singers at the University of California, Berkeley. Founded in 1948, the Octet has entertained audiences around the world with its unique mesh of close harmonies and zany stage antics. Dazzling fans with wide repertoire of barbershop, doo-wop, contemporary pop, modern alternative, and of course, Cal fight songs, the group has released dozens of recordings over the years. Named after both the neighborhood and their role within the greater barbershop community fabric, Western Addition are a top-level barbershop quartet based in San Francisco, CA. They have been singing together since 2018, and love to dazzle audiences with their close harmonies and lively performance energies that are hallmarks of the barbershop style. They are now the four-time BHS Far Western District quartet runner-ups. Flannel Folk is a contemporary a cappella group based in Cedarburg, WI. Since its founding in 2018, Flannel Folk has gone on to become a household name in the greater Milwaukee area through their unique arrangements of fun and energetic music. Flannel Folk prides itself on singing many genres, including 80's Rock, Modern Hits, Barbershop, and Originals. The Gold n Blues are Marquette University s first and premier Co-Ed A Cappella group. Based in Milwaukee, WI, GnB was founded in 2008 and entered the competitive scene in 2022. The group has competed in ICCA twice, and most recently Acapocalypse. This is their first time competing in Harmony Sweepstakes. The group consists of 19 undergraduate and graduate students, focused on creating intricate and breathtaking music while simultaneously establishing meaningful connections with each other and the entire A Cappella community. HerStory: SongRise was conceived on a shuttle to the DC Metro when Sarah Beller and Laura Honeywood started harmonizing to Sweet Honey in the Rock's "Ella's Song" after a Social Justice Open Mic. For a few rocky months they met in the practice rooms of American University every week with a revolving cast of special guest appearances until a core group solidified and rehearsals moved to the Apiary in Columbia Heights. From the moment SongRise was conceived, we knew it had the potential to solidify our individual and collective dreams of merging art with action, song, soul and substance, community and chorus, and many other alliterative amalgamations. Smoke Ring is a mixed voice barbershop and contemporary a cappella quartet based in New York, NY. Since their start in January 2023, they have taken the barbershop world by storm, having won the 2024 Mid-Atlantic District championship on their first go in a historical win as the first-ever mixed voice quartet to earn the championship title! And more recently, placing 9th in the world at their debut at the Barbershop Harmony Society s International quartet contest. They re currently the highest-ranked mixed voice quartet in the world. After more than 30 years in the business, STEP4 are still performing before adoring fans and sellout crowds. STEP4 was formed in 1983 at a house party in ALEXANDRIA Va. The original members of the group are STEVN THURMAN KEVIN THURMAN ANTWAN DRAYTON REGINALD FLOOD. STEP4,s first tasted success in 1983 with the release of its first album entitled SHADYGROOVE ON THE MOVE This album produced local favorites " like LONG WAY UP & FORTUNE & SOONER OR LATER The release propelled them into the national limelight, producing several connoisseurs of falsetto based soul music of the mid 80, s Dazzling hooks and a solid false tenor propelled My Soul" STEP4 received both national and international notoriety for its tight harmony and the impeccable falsetto of lead singers,. We're a barbershop quartet consisting of four incredibly average guys who met through a series of completely unremarkable circumstances. Two of us sing with Frederick, two with D.C., and somehow, despite our best efforts, we ended up forming a quartet. We sing barbershop music. We show up to rehearsals. We wear matching outfits when necessary. There is nothing particularly groundbreaking about what we do, but we do it. And we do it adequately. If you enjoy well-tuned chords, perfectly acceptable performances, and absolutely no unnecessary flair, then you might just enjoy Surprisingly Competent. Or not. Either way, we'll keep singing. In their 10th season, their shows are elevated with movement to captivate audiences. They are musicians in residence at Braid Street Studios and are the 2024 recipients for the Best Original Arrangement and Best Original Song at the Pacific North-West Harmony Sweepstakes. Sorella is the contemporary vocal ensemble of Seattle Girls Choir. Directed by Lauren Kastanas, this high-school ensemble performs in pop, folk, and contemporary styles, with a focus on independent ensemble singing. Seattle Girls Choir, under the leadership of Artistic Director Sarra S. Doyle, is a community that provides young singers with a high-quality music education and a place to belong. Founded in 1982, Seattle Girls Choir provides a comprehensive and progressive choral education with an emphasis on vocal technique, musical literacy, and ensemble performance. The organization provides six sequential levels of instruction for choristers in kindergarten through high school, and training choir for beginners, and the contemporary vocal ensemble Sorella. Founded in 2022, this group of friends has performed at such prestigious locations as the Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Competition, Expedia conference rooms, and their friend Betsy s flower garden. From belting Broadway ballads to harmonizing Disney tunes, they bring the magic of the stage to every note they sing.
